CLAY COUNTY PLAT MAP 1916

We've reproduced here plat maps of Clay County townships showing property ownership as of late July or early August 1916. They were apparently published as part of the 1916 statewide Plat Book of the State of Minnesota by W. W. Hixson & Company of Rockford, Illinois: 1916. (We also have the complete Plat Book for all of the rest of the counties in Minnesota on microfilm in the archives.) These plats show land ownership, the location of roads, railroad sidings, schools, churches, cemeteries and rural post offices. Here's a current map of Clay County showing the townships' locations.
